Learn how Coeus helped a global manufacturing company better understand their data centre landscape and develop this into a full data centre strategy and roadmap.

Data centre strategy

The client was looking to consolidate sites on which a large number of their applications were hosted. In tandem a transformation programme to deliver a new ERP, along with a number of other core applications, was about to begin increasing the criticality of the application estate.

This created an urgent need to review how their data centre infrastructure was delivered and given the number of different options available, assistance was required to determine the correct strategy

The Coeus team conducted a full current state review to fully understand the present context and infrastructure landscape, develop a set of strategic aims, and assess all options to allow balanced recommendation to fully meet the future needs of the business

  • Assessment of current application and hardware estate, supplier landscape, people and skills, and costs
  • Developmentof business and IT requirements and gap analysis to determine success criteria
